The use of Marijuana on is at a 35 year high, and it keeps on getting higher, just like a lot of college students.

It’s something about being free from the parent’s supervision that has caused students to enjoy and indulge in marijuana whether it is legal in their state or not.

A study by the University of Michigan called “Monitoring the Future” showed that close 6 percent of college students smoked marijuana daily or almost daily in 2014.

In other words, one in 17 students are getting baked almost if not, every day.

"It's clear that for the past seven or eight years there has been an increase in marijuana use among the nation's college students," Lloyd Johnston, the principal investigator of the study, said in a news release.

Even though marijuana is proven to reduce stress, promote sleep, and improve creativity, according to a study released by the University of Maryland School of Public Health, as the number of students getting high increases, the number of students skipping class, receiving lower grades, and dropping out of school has increased as well.

But out of all the drugs that have college students have experienced with, such as LSD, alcohol, and prescription drugs, marijuana has proved to be the safest.

Daren the Lion would be so disappointed in college students, although we should be disappointed in him for calling cannabis a “bad drug.”
